Dr. Peters is senior lecturer in French studies in the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences. His research focusses on the syntax of French, on the teaching of French grammar, and on the acquisition and teaching of French as a foreign language. Having completed his studies in Romance Philology at the University of Namur (previously Facultés Universitaires Notre-Dame de la Paix) and then at the Free University of Brussels, he embarqued on a PhD in French Linguistics at the Pennsylvania State University. Dr Peters previously taught at the University of the West Indies, Mona, and held research positions at the University of Brussels, the University of Louisiana, Lafayette, and the University of Geneva.

My research is on the syntax and grammar of French and on the acquisition of French as a foreign language. I am available for supervision of theses in French studies, second language acquisition and linguistics.
