Workshop Description

This day-long workshop will focus on Prof. Stuart Elden’s work on the Birth of Territory and his recent research on geo-power and its implications for contemporary geo-social theory.

The workshop will include two substantive sessions. The first session will focus directly on the Birth of Territory, with a keynote presentation from Prof. Stuart Elden and responses from Scott Sharpe (ADFA), Charlotte Epstein (USyd), Brett Neilson (UWS).

The second session is organised around pre-circulated readings and presentations from: Kalervo Gulson (UNSW),  Danielle Drozdzewski (UNSW) and Matthew Kearnes (UNSW)
