About Rosi Braidotti

Rosi Braidotti is Distinguished University Professor and founding Director of the Centre for the Humanities at Utrecht University. A world figure in gender and critical theory, from 1997 to 2005 she was the founding scientific director of the SOCRATES Thematic Network for European Women’s Studies ATHENA, which was awarded in 2010 the Erasmus Prize of the Lifelong Learning Programme of the European Commission for outstanding contribution to social inclusion. Among her book publications: The Posthuman, Polity Press, Cambridge 2013 ; Nomadic Subjects (second edition, revised and enlarged, 2011, Columbia University Press); Transpositions: on Nomadic Ethics, Polity Press, Cambridge, 2006; Metamorphoses: Towards a Materialist Theory of Becoming, Polity Press, Cambridge 2002.
