2014 ISAANZ Postgraduate Essay Prize

The editors of the Australasian Journal of Irish Studies (AJIS) and the Irish Studies Association of Australia and New Zealand (ISAANZ) are delighted to announce the 2014 ISAANZ Irish Studies Postgraduate Essay prize.

The 2013 prize was awarded to Michael Dwyer from Cork, Michael's essay 'Cumann Na nGaedheal and the reform of public health administration in the Irish Free State,' published in AJIS Vol. 13, 2013: 149-163.

The Prize

  • Publication of the winning essay in the Australasian Journal of Irish Studies
  • A cash prize of AUD$300
  • A year’s membership of Irish Studies Association of Australia and New Zealand

Rules

Entry is open to anyone studying for a higher degree or who has completed a higher degree in 2014 atany tertiary institution

  • Essays on any aspect of Irish Studies will be considered
  • Essays must comply with the Australasian Journal of Irish Studies style guide: http://isaanz.org/ajis/contributors-guidelines
  • Essays must be 6000-8000 words in length (including endnotes)
  • The editors’ decision is final
